Music Director
Meet Lauri Hogle - CPC Music and Choral Director, Pianist, and Organist -
A summa cum laude graduate of both the University of Evansville's (IN) celebrated music therapy program and Georgia State University’s music education graduate program, Lauri Hogle is our music director and organist. Lauri has performed across the country with an extensive range of professional and student musicians and has served as faculty accompanist with several universities. For over two decades, Lauri has worked as a church musician, directing choirs of all ages, and serving as both organist and pianist. At various times, she has maintained significant, active piano studios. She is also the former organist for the National Christian Choir, based in Washington, D.C.
Before moving to Georgia from Maryland, Lauri served as director of choruses at a private high school, tapping into her great passion for classroom teaching. Her teen choirs have consistently earned top ratings and awards in competition and festivals. She is currently the choral teacher at Woodstock Middle School and has accepted the invitation for her students to sing at Carnegie Hall.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, who is Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Learning with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and her teenage daughters, Rebecca (pre-vet major at Berry College), Rachel (violist at Interlochen Arts Academy) and Ruth (cellist at Interlochen Arts Academy).
Lauri gives the Lord all the glory for her ability to play and direct. For nearly eight years, she suffered with an undiagnosed progressive illness with symptoms including fainting, severe pain, blindness, and paralysis. A week after her elders prayed over her, she finally received an accurate diagnosis of her condition and within weeks she was healed following brain surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. May 28, 1999 was the beginning of His new healthy life for her. To God be the glory for His healing power and sustaining grace!
